The Ohio Machine, which begins its inaugural season as part of Major League Lacrosse in May 2012, announced Tickets for Kids®Charities (TFK) as its official team charity for the 2012 season.
TFK creates opportunities for underprivileged children to experience arts, cultural, educational and sporting events/activities in communities nationwide. TFK will receive Machine tickets purchased by individuals and organizations to distribute to nonprofits throughout the greater Columbus area during the season.
“We are excited about our partnership with Tickets for Kids,” said Machine President and General Manager John Algie. “This is a wonderful opportunity to have children, who wouldn’t otherwise get the chance, out to see the best lacrosse players in the world play.”
Individuals and organizations that are interested in donating tickets to Tickets for Kids can contact the Machine at (614) 754-1973 or click here for more details on the partnership.
“We are grateful for the generosity of the Ohio Machine for choosing Tickets for Kids as its official charity,” said TFK Communications Director Meryl Hellring. “As a result, more children and families in and around the Columbus area will be able to experience the excitement of lacrosse. We look forward to a long association with this winning organization.”
The MLL season begins the weekend of April 28, 2012, continuing through August 12 and including the 2012 Sports Authority MLL All-Star Game on July 30 and the 2012 Sports Authority MLL Championship Weekend presented by Warrior on August 25 and 26.
