Machine Draft Schreiber First Overall

The Ohio Machine selected Tom Schreiber with the first overall pick in the 2014 Major League Lacrosse Collegiate Draft. Schreiber, a senior midfielder at Princeton University, will be eligible to join the Machine after the conclusion of the 2014 NCAA Lacrosse season.

Through three seasons, Schreiber (6’0”, 190, 2/24/92) ranks first all-time among Princeton midfielders with 149 career points (76 goals, 73 assists) and is the only midfielder in program history to register more than 70 career goals and 70 career assists. A Tewaaraton Trophy finalist last year, Schreiber earned All-America honors after each of his three collegiate seasons (2013 and 2012 first team, 2011 third team). Schreiber led the Tigers in assists three consecutive seasons and has twice led the team in goals.

“We are very excited to have Tom (Schreiber) join our team,” said Head Coach Bear Davis. “We feel that Tom’s skills and personality compliment what we are building both on and off the field in Columbus.”

In addition to the first overall pick in the 2014 MLL Collegiate Draft, the Machine select 13th, 25th, 27th, 39th, 41st, 49th and 57th. To watch the 2014 MLL Collegiate Draft live, please visit
